00:00There's an added attraction in the historic Intramuros, an interactive museum and tourist center.
00:07Take a look at what Darlene Kai is going to show us.
00:16Intramuros is one of the most historic places in the Philippines.
00:20Every Sunday, 50,000 tourists come here to march and throwback.
00:26And from June 12, or on the day of freedom, there will be a new attraction here,
00:32the Centro de Turismo Intramuros, an interactive museum and tourist center.
00:37The intention is to go back to our roots, learn the history of Intramuros.
00:42The center was built in the former San Ignacio Church that was destroyed during World War II.
00:46In this guided tour, we will tell the history of Manila.
00:50We will also see ancient buildings and ancient religious images.
00:54There are also QR codes that you can scan on your cell phone.
00:58Here, you will be able to watch educational videos so you can learn other important information while touring this museum.
01:07The sculpture of the well-known artist, Leroy New, is also included.
01:11It is an artistic representation of the galleon or ship that was used in the early days for navigation.
01:18Supported by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, the Centro de Turismo Intramuros visited on Thursday and was able to attend the launch today.
01:26And actually, that's actually a special request also of the First Lady.
01:29She wants Filipino people to have something, a place where it's interactive and something that we can,
01:36we can showcase to the world that we have something like this.
01:39It's free for everyone.
01:41From Wednesday, the Centro de Turismo Intramuros is open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
01:47Next to the Centro is the Museo de Intramuros.
01:50The area of an old convent of Jesuits will be visited for P75.
01:56Some of the original structures such as the well and the well of water are also here.
02:01There are also various artifacts, paintings, and collections of saints.
