00:00versus what, you know, other groups in that space are doing to stay there?
00:04Yeah, and I think they function like a lot of big money, a lot of the big money lobbies
00:08that are corrupting a lot of our policies.
00:10Big Oil, the NRA, AIPAC, Big Pharma, they take a very similar role in a lot of our elections.
00:18What do you make of just last night, two more progressive members in Democratic primaries
00:23didn't make it through? More centrist members did.
00:25Yeah.
00:26Are you disappointed about that?
00:27Well, I think, once again, we've always dealt with the fact that progressives are not sponsored
00:34and don't take money from these big corporate lobbies.
00:38And, you know, as I kind of said earlier, you get in these elections, primary elections,
00:43general elections, Big Oil gets involved.
00:45You get Big Pharma that gets involved.
00:48You get these corporate Wall Street lobbies that pour in money.
00:51And you have AIPAC, which is a right-wing, insurrectionist-supporting, pro-Netanyahu
01:01lobbying organization that also wants to ensure that there are no voices that have any sort
01:08of dissent to the way that the Netanyahu administration is prosecuting the war on Gaza
01:14and the violations of human rights of Palestinians.
01:16Did it disappoint you that Democratic leaders got behind those more centrist candidates?
01:21The candidates, I think, are separate, are a different question.
01:25I find it extremely disappointing that anybody would align themselves with an organization
01:31that supports the Republicans who wanted to overturn the election, that engaged in a very
01:37kind of explicitly racist and divisive form of campaigning.
01:41And also, AIPAC is an organization that takes money from Republicans and spends against Democrats.
01:46And I don't think it's something that the party should align itself with.
01:49What if Schumer invites Netanyahu to come speak to the House?
01:52Pardon?
01:53What if Schumer invites Netanyahu to address the House?
01:56I just don't think it's constructive for Netanyahu to be addressing, to be doing a joint address
02:01in this moment, period, regardless of dissent.
02:04Good round of votes.
02:05Thank you.
