VivaTech 2024: Artificial intelligence takes centre stage at annual French tech show

The latest artificially intelligent innovations have been unveiled at the VivaTech show in Paris starting this Wednesday and running through Saturday.

00:14 Thousands of startups and visitors flocked to Europe`s largest trade fair for innovation

00:18 and technology, which opened this Wednesday.

00:21 More than 3,500 exhibitors from 120 different countries have come together for four days

00:27 of exchanges and so much more, according to the director of VivaTech.

00:31 At VivaTech, there are three main issues.

00:34 The first is to discover and decrypt all the current trends in tech and digital.

00:40 The second is to do business between startups, between large groups, between states and between

00:49 tech leaders.

00:50 And the third is to make connections.

00:53 Tech is an international event, there are 120 countries coming.

00:56 And for us, it`s extremely interesting to make a Japanese startup, which is the country

01:01 of the year, meet an African investor.

01:05 This year, Japan takes center stage as VivaTech`s country of the year.

01:09 The city of Tokyo is showcasing SushiTech, an innovative concept that seeks to develop

01:14 technology and AI while simultaneously addressing environmental and urban issues.

01:20 AI is a technology that has just started.

01:24 So, I think it`s too early to set a goal of what we`ll do in 5 or 10 years.

01:32 What`s important is to use AI, including the government.

01:38 And then we`ll understand AI and its challenges.

01:43 And then we`ll decide what to do in the future.

01:47 The event runs until Saturday.

01:49 And this year, organizers expect to welcome more than 150,000 guests for this 8th edition
