00:00 We're not in Kitty Hawk anymore.
00:02 This is a HEXA aircraft created by the American company Lyft during a demonstration this week in Tokyo.
00:08 It's an electric personal flying machine, and demonstration pilot Jason McCown says it's easy to control.
00:14 All you do is say, "I want to go forward," and the aircraft goes forward.
00:19 Press a button to take off, press a button to land. Very simple.
00:23 Lyft has been promoting the HEXA for years.
00:25 According to GeekWire, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos got into one in 2019,
00:29 though he may not have left the ground.
00:31 Here's entrepreneur Colin Gwynn that same year.
00:34 Depending on the time scale that you're looking at, no, 10 to 20 years is, we'll all be using these things.
00:39 It's a vision reminiscent of sci-fi films like The Fifth Element.
00:42 And while it may not have come to pass yet, this spring Lyft has been demonstrating the HEXA in the U.S. as well.
00:48 So there's still time for this to become the transportation of the future.
