Supermarket Sweep (S1, Ep 54 - Nov 18th 1993)

Today's trolley dashers are Shelley & Chris from Leeds, Mandy & Carol from Derbyshire, and Stuart & Hayley from Cheshire. Dale Winton hosts and gets to see one contestant do the headless chicken routine in the Mini Sweep before getting to know the teams better. One team are a married couple who can do magic, even if their honeymoon was not, another would like to be a man 2nd time round - which is awkward for her husband in the audience - while the third have a somewhat complicated relationship (but how it sounds). All three post good points time totals to make it very intriguing going into the Super Sweep. And there are interesting tactics as the teams end up on a collision course (literally in one case) to see who will gain the most price total to earn the right to go for the star prize of £2,000. So who will go through and will they be triumphant at the end? Watch on and find out...
