00:12DFC CEO Faizuddin said the administrator in question lacked experience in social media
00:17management, Malaysia Gazette reported.
00:20At a press conference today, he said the company took full responsibility for the mistake and
00:25apologized to all who were affected or hurt.
00:28Faiz also voiced hope that Malaysians would accept DFC's apology, adding that it does
00:33not discriminate against customers, despite being fully owned by Bumi Putras.
00:38Faiz went on to reveal that DFC had formed a team to ensure more effective communication
00:42and social media management, adding that each post and feedback must receive approval from
00:47the top management before being published.
00:50The local chain drew flack for referring to the Malaysian-Chinese community as Type C
00:54in a Facebook comment, and despite issuing an apology, they failed to quell the criticisms
00:59online.
