Should police be given more stop and search powers?

We ask the people of Cardiff whether they think current police stop and search powers are suitable and acceptable or whether they need more protection.

00:03 because I think sometimes it's just a bit dodgy when they just ask you out of nowhere.

00:13 It's just like, if you actually do have suspicion, then probably yeah, but...

00:17 I don't think it's necessarily a good thing,

00:20 as when this stuff happens, it's usually on a racial reasoning,

00:24 not just, "Oh, this person looks suspicious."

00:27 So I think they should give reasoning on why,

00:30 and not just see, "Oh, that person is not white, let's search them."

00:35 Well, if they're suspicious of people, then yeah, it's important.

00:41 They think there's some criminal activity going on, then yeah.

00:44 If there's no aggravation involved, and there's no violence,

00:52 they don't see this, police and the public, sometimes it just clashes.
