Nick Thompson, owner of Klean Kicks UK, York Road, Osmanthorpe, Leeds, a company that cleans and repairs trainers, and shoes and within the last couple of weeks he has just reached over 10,000 cleans this year.

00:00So over at Clean Kicks we restore your trainers from this to this. We specialise in any sort of

00:06material trainers. We also can do handbags, hats and we've recently just started doing a dry cleaning

00:12service as well. And how did you get into this? So I originally started this during lockdown when

00:17I'd been laid off from my recruitment job and all my trainers were dirty and one day I thought

00:22let me just clean them and a little light bulb moment and here we are today. And how many

00:27trainers do you get in a week? So I average between 75 to 120 pairs a week and we can get through

00:34around 20 to 25 pairs a day depending on the condition etc. And what's the cost of service?

00:39So the services range from £25 to £40 for your basic clean, premium clean and our like deluxe

00:46package. We then additionally add extras on such as like repainting, re-dyeing, re-gluing

00:52and restorations. And what's up and coming? Are you going anywhere special soon? So we've recently

00:58just agreed a thing with Crec Protect which is the biggest company in our industry.

01:06They send us products out and we basically film content for them and post them out to them guys

01:11and they re-share. We've also just got confirmation that we're going to be attending our first ever

01:16independent stall at a festival which is Mint Festival which is this weekend down at Temple

01:20Newsome. So make sure that if you're down there come see us and come get your trainers clean.
