00:07 Registered voters will choose who they think should represent the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as Metro Mayor,

00:13 as well as voting for Police and Crime Commissioner.

00:16 Voters will choose who they want to lead the six-council Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.

00:21 The elected Metro Mayor oversees decisions and budgets relating to transport, infrastructure, investment, culture and more.

00:28 Residents in Liverpool, Wirral, Sefton, St Helens, Knowsley and Halton will be able to vote in this election which is held every four years.

00:36 Electors across Mayorside will also vote for a Police and Crime Commissioner.

00:40 PCCs were bought in by the government to replace police authorities in 2012 and are responsible for holding police forces to account.
