Locals curious about squatters at Gordon Ramsay's Camden pub

Locals are curious about a group of squatters who have occupied Gordon Ramsay's Grade-II listed gastropub in Camden.
At least six “professional squatters” entered Ramsay’s York and Albany pub, on the edge of Regent’s Park, early last week.
Cal, who works in a school nearby said she has been curious about the takeover since the pub closed a few weeks ago.

But I guess a few weeks ago I saw people taking down all the bits and I was like, oh maybe the restaurant's closing.
00:04
And then I saw in the news that they had taken over the building and they worked around the corner.
00:09
So what are some of the rumors you've been hearing yourself?
00:12
I guess that, I guess I was wondering who it was
00:16
because they seemed kind of organized in terms of what they put on the sign about not being able to,
00:23
that they were allowed to squat there because it wasn't a residential building and I thought that was kind of cool.
00:29
And interesting, I was interested to know more about it.
00:34
And obviously I don't know a huge amount about their politics or whatever.
00:37
But I know there's a big homeless population so I was wondering if it was to do with that as well.
00:41
And what about the art cafe that was, well, that lasted a day or so?
00:45
Would that have been something that would have been welcome in the area?
00:48
I don't think it would have been welcome in this area because these people are all like quite fancy.
00:53
So I don't think, but I think the general Camden community would have been interested in that, yeah.
00:59
There's like another free food place like down the road and there's often free food stuff so I wonder if it would.
01:05
But this is kind of out of the way, this is more a fancier area, in my opinion. So I don't know.
