A brand new non dig allotment called Roots opens in Stourbridge. Mayor of Dudley cllr Andrea Goddard talks about it.

00:03 I didn't know, which was quite a surprise when I received the invitation.

00:09 Because I know that there's a lot of allotments around the borough

00:12 which have got a huge amount of waiting lists for them.

00:18 So this was absolutely amazing because there was no waiting list

00:22 and they have that no waiting list policy which is absolutely brilliant.

00:26 And the fact that it's no digging as well, kind of like more people can get involved.

00:32 Yeah, it's all done for you. You come and there's no weeds to deal with.

00:36 And are you tempted to get stuck in yourself and have a go?

00:40 Do you know what? I really would if I'd got the time. I definitely would.

00:44 And perhaps after my Maywell year I might have the time.

00:48 I think the fact that, you know, the vegetables and the fruits,

00:51 you lose 30% nutrients, you know, to me that's like, yeah,
