00:08 has initiated an investigation against his father and former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir

00:14 He said he cited a notice signed by MECC Chief Commissioner Azam Bakki to his two brothers,

00:20 Mirzan and Moksani, saying that an investigation has been started into Mahathir, Malaya Daily

00:26 reported.

00:27 He added that both brothers have been ordered to declare their assets to assist the investigation.

00:33 On March 23, Mahathir's eldest sons said MECC had ordered them to assist in an investigation

00:39 into their father, revealing for the first time that a months-long investigation was

00:44 targeting the 98-year-old former Prime Minister.

00:48 In January, MECC ordered Moksani and Mirzan to declare their assets dating back to 1981,

00:54 the year Mahathir became the Prime Minister.

00:57 The orders are part of investigations into offshore business records revealed by a journalism

01:02 consortium, MECC said at the time, without mentioning that the main target was Mahathir.
