00:00 Flying cars so often a staple of futuristic sci-fi movies. Well, now they're set to take off
00:04 in a big way and far sooner than you may think. China's Huibei Zenshin Flying Car Technology
00:09 Company has signed an agreement to mass produce and distribute the air car, which was originally
00:15 developed in Slovakia. But why is this a big deal? Well, it looks like the Chinese are soaring ahead
00:20 of their rivals in airborne transport, much like it did with electric cars, a market in which China
00:25 is now a global leader. And the Chinese have got the money and the political will to keep going
00:32 and make these huge investment to actually make this happen. So and I think they recognize that
00:38 this is one of their strengths that effectively, because it's such a new technology, it's like a
00:44 big level up for everybody. So the former advantage that all the Western companies have got probably
00:50 isn't there so much like it used to be. The Huibei Zenshin company say the aircraft will be sold
00:55 for use within a specific geographical region of China, which has yet to be disclosed. So the
01:00 idea of airborne traffic jams may be a few years away yet.
