London: Locals react to Princess of Wales’ cancer diagnosis

We ask Londoners how they feel about the Princess of Wales cancer diagnosis and the treatment of her before the announcement.

00:10 Family anyway. As I said, I'm a socialist, I'm also a Republican. I had massive respect

00:15 for the Queen, because she did an absolutely brilliant job. I just think it's an anachronistic

00:20 institution. The people who are in it do the best that they can. But I feel very sorry

00:29 for the family generally, that they've got two people suffering from cancer. It's a horrible

00:33 disease and it's taken too many of my friends, and I have every sympathy for anybody who's

00:37 going through it. I don't follow much of social media, so I've only got a very vague impression

00:45 of what happened. But a huge amount of extra things put on her, whether it's positive or

00:50 negative, and I understand that at first it was very negative. And so that's really, that's

00:56 It's horrid because then she has to put up with that as well as actually being ill.
