00:08 >> Yeah, it looks like this, just about the entire bracket for seed surprises.

00:14 It started, I believe, at the five line where they included Gonzaga and

00:19 St. Mary's.

00:20 I thought St. Mary's was only a line off that.

00:23 But Gonzaga, I thought, I was all ready to put Gonzaga on the five line if they

00:27 won the St. Mary's game in the WCC final.

00:31 They didn't, they weren't even really all that close.

00:34 I don't know what they did to warrant the five seed on the course of this season.

00:38 Predictive metrics, I guess, and the Kentucky win.

00:41 I don't think that's enough because if you're just gonna go by the metrics,

00:44 I can point out lots of examples of where they didn't follow them at all.

00:49 I thought those were really bizarre.

00:51 I thought that Dayton getting a seven was bizarre.

00:54 I mean, Dayton was lucky to be in the field, let alone be seated as high as a seven.

01:00 Dayton lost the most difficult games they played almost start to finish.

01:06 In their conference, the tough road games, they took the L.

01:09 They get into the conference quarter finals.

01:11 They play Duquesne, which ends up winning the tournament.

01:14 But at that point, Duquesne was coming in as a six seed that wasn't really viewed as

01:17 a threat to win that championship, but Dayton opened the door.

01:21 I don't know how you go through all of that.

01:23 All those losses against significant teams or

01:27 the most significant teams you play and wind up with a seven seed.

01:31 That was befuddling.

01:33 And then New Mexico, which was always kind of a bubble team, I'll admit.

01:37 >> Yeah.

01:38 >> And I had them out of the field or

01:40 right on the edge of the field as this week was transpiring.

01:44 But then they went out and they dominated in the conference tournament.

01:48 They won game after game after game in the Mountain West.

01:51 And then they stick them with an 11 seed.

01:54 I just really had a hard time understanding what the committee's rationale was for

01:58 the seeds that they put up on the board.

02:01 I've done this now, I've done this.

02:02 This is my fourth bracket with Fox that got through the process.

02:08 I also started in 2020 when we didn't have a show.

02:10 We didn't have a tournament.

02:12 But this was by far the one that was seeded the most bizarrely to me.
