00:13 So Fox Antiques was founded in 1978 by Barry Foe, primarily because he couldn't find the
00:20 sort of furniture that he wanted to have. I joined the business in 1992 and we almost
00:29 immediately started doing French furniture rather than previously it had been predominantly
00:33 English and Australian furniture. And we've been specialists in French furniture since then.

00:50 So we've decided to close down on the 27th of April, or the end of April. After more than
00:58 four decades in business, the retail situation is tough. There are very few businesses that
01:05 close down because they're making too much money. Obviously we're not in that book.
01:10 But it's time to branch out and do new things and travel overseas. My three children now
01:18 live overseas, so we want to get out and annoy them rather than being home in Canberra.

01:45 So we've had a really quite humbling reaction from many customers. Lots of old friends have
01:53 come in and sent lovely messages about how Fox Antiques over the years has been so important
01:59 to their houses and their lifestyle and how their whole house is in many senses built
02:08 around Fox Antiques. So it's been lovely to see people and know how important the business
02:13 has been to them over the years.
