00:05theft syndicates. It's alleged the group had stolen more than $10 million worth of items
00:10over five months. Stolen items included baby formula, medicines, vitamins, skin care products,
00:16electric toothbrushes and toiletries. Operation Supernova officers from Box Hill uncovered the
00:21operation which was targeting major supermarket retailers. The group is alleged to be working
00:26with receivers who on-sell the products for profit. Retail theft is a fast-growing crime
00:32in Victoria with a 38% increase in the crime over the past year.
