00:00 I think pregnancy trends are getting far bigger and more extravagant
00:05 because it's driven by social media.
00:07 They want the world to know and why shouldn't they?
00:10 I think it's so nice to celebrate such a magical thing.
00:16 You've been pregnant for, you know, six, seven months.
00:19 You're feeling big, your clothes don't fit, you're tired
00:23 and then suddenly your friends just gather round
00:26 and they give you all this love. That's so nice.
00:28 Some pregnancy trends that I've heard of are baby showers,
00:32 gender reveals, push gifts.
00:35 Photoshoots, parenting classes, regular scans,
00:39 singing songs, talking to the baby, which we did, by the way.
00:43 And something that is quite new is the stimulation that is put onto
00:47 the partners of the babies where they actually can feel what it's like,
00:50 inverted commas, so they can feel what we go through.
00:54 When I was first pregnant, 26 years ago, it was very different
00:58 to how it is now.
00:59 We didn't have any trends, you were pregnant,
01:03 you went into hospital, you had your baby
01:06 and you were sent home with a little pack of stuff and that was it.
01:09 I do think we do more and more for sure
01:12 because I can see on social media all the baby showers
01:15 and all the photoshoots.
01:17 So I think it's becoming a really big thing.
01:20 I do think it's fun, but obviously, you know, we're all different,
01:24 but it's definitely getting bigger and bigger.
01:27 If I was to give one tip to women that were pregnant,
01:29 it's to celebrate it all, enjoy and never be shy to ask
01:34 for any support or help as well.
01:36 It's very important to eat well and look after yourself,
01:40 exercise a bit and just be really, really positive in general.
01:44 I believe good nutrition is so important during your pregnancy.
01:47 You need those nutrients to grow a healthy baby.
01:51 If I ever was to be pregnant again, I would do a photoshoot,
01:54 as I didn't do one before.
01:56 I would celebrate the whole journey
01:57 because being pregnant is not an easy journey.
01:59 So I would celebrate from the beginning up until childbirth and after.
02:03 Just be yourself, do whatever you want to do,
02:06 be excited about your pregnancy and just, yeah,
02:09 don't listen too much to other people.
02:11 (LAUGHS)
02:12 (upbeat music)
02:14 [music fades]
