Sub-Inspector Anand Narayanan is assigned to investigate two different murder cases that occurred during the year 1990, and the first murder case revolves around the murder of a young woman named Lovely Mathan in 1993.
Here, he has to operate under the conflicting atmosphere between two Christian factions living in that area and he receives warnings from higher authorities that if the criminal belongs to one of these two factions, he will lead to a big riot in the Central Travancore city.
But eventually his police service is suspended due to an unexpected incident and years later he and his team are ordered to investigate an unsolved murder case six years earlier in 1988.
