00:00 "I am disappointed to hear that the government is bearing the burden of debt.
00:14 This is because since 1998, the government has always been in a permanent deficit.
00:27 Will we leave this burden to our children and grandchildren?
00:37 The answer is to all of you here.
00:43 The government's long-standing deficit will force it to implement a new development project
00:56 or provide financial support to build economic growth.
01:08 Therefore, I support the government's desire to immediately take steps to save money,
01:16 including to implement a large-scale subsidy.
01:26 In addition, the new foundations that are more comprehensive need to be continued to be introduced,
01:36 including introduction to the Financial Act and the fiscal responsibility in 2023,
01:48 which is a step in the development camp to improve the management of public finances
02:01 so that it is more direct and responsible.
02:06 I will also investigate government spending and ensure that every budget is for what is really needed.
02:20 I hope that during my term as Prime Minister, the government will be able to receive an extra fiscal every year.
02:30 I must also be firm in raising public funds' critical and fluctuating standards.
02:41 All levels of this fiscal management deficit need to be inspected,
02:49 including the legal body and the companies owned by the government and its subsidiaries.
02:59 I am afraid that some of you may fall asleep if I go on for too long, so I will shorten it.
03:06 [In Malay]
03:28 That is all.
03:34 [In Malay]
03:42 Thank you.
03:45 [End of session]
