Shamima Begum has lost her challenge over the removal of her British citizenship at the Court of Appeal. Ms Begum travelled to Syria in 2015 aged 15 and her citizenship was revoked on national security grounds shortly after she was found in a Syrian refugee camp in February 2019. In a ruling on Friday, three judges dismissed the now 24-year-old’s bid. Ms Begum’s team are now likely to bring an appeal before the Supreme Court. Report by Jonesia. 01:13 But it is not for this court to agree or disagree
01:18 with either point of view.
01:21 Our only task is to assess whether the deprivation
01:26 decision was unlawful.
01:29 We have concluded it was not, and the appeal is dismissed.
