CHEAP AS CHIPS! Hundreds of people queue for hours to buy fish and chip meal for 75p instead of £5.70

Hundreds of people queued for hours in the rain to snap up a portion of 'Britain's cheapest' fish and chips - for just 75p.
Dr Vinegars Extraordinary Fish & Chips offered the mega cut-price deal after it recently opened its doors to customers in Wolverhampton.
Massive queues of eager punters snaked around the carpark of the new chippy from as early as 11am yesterday (Thurs).
The bargain meal cost just 75p and consists of a portion of the shops special 'orange chips' and a mini-fillet - which would usually set you back £5.70.
Portions were limited to one per customer but that didn't put punters off as hundreds flocked to the shop despite miserable weather conditions.
Local Nicola Jones, 55, from Wednesfield, West Mids., was the first in line after she started queueing at 11.30am.
Mum-of-one Nicola said: “They were delicious.
"I think it’s only us in the Midlands that do the orange chips. They have this unique coating on them.
“The only reason I came to Dr Vinegar is because my son has the shop next door. They’ve been trading for a few weeks. It was word of mouth for me.
“We arrived at about 11am, then about half 11 we stepped out a bit. Then the masses came. I was first one who came.
“A good 50 or 60 people came straight away, then they just kept coming. It was constant. I was quite pleased I was at the front. I’ll be a regular now.
“I thought they were excellent. For the price they were charging, they were superb. The chips were good, nice thick pieces of cod. It was all fresh.
"The standard was excellent. I wouldn’t expect anything else.
“It’s usually £2.20 for a cone. I think a fish and chip meal these days is usually around £6 or £7.”
Another punter Matt Nichol, 29, of Willenhall, West Mids., added: "I wasn't going to miss out on what's surely the cheapest fish and chips in the country.
"They were really lovely too, I queued for about an hour but it was well worth it. I'll be coming back."
Owner Royston Spencer ordered hundreds of mini-fishes for the one day only mega deal to cope with demand.
The new takeaway soffers all the usual chip shop classics like fish and chips, kebabs, sausages and Pukka pies.
But its main draw is its famous West Midlands 'orange chips' which are chips coated in an orange batter, with a 'secret extra ingredient' to give its 'signature glow.'
