00:00 getting ready for what is going to be the worst fire day we've seen in this state since the 2019-20
00:06 black summer season. What's concerning for firefighters today will be those hot northerly
00:10 winds averaging around that 30 to 40 even up to 50 kilometres an hour will bring challenging fire
00:17 conditions which has led to those catastrophic fire conditions being declared for the Wimmera
00:21 weather district. There are a couple of communities of concern today which are under directly
00:26 underneath those patches of catastrophic rating conditions and they are for Rainbow, Warricknabil,
00:32 Minyip, Rapunyip and Matoa. Those communities are of particular concern for firefighters today
00:38 as conditions will be very very nasty in those communities. The best thing for communities to
00:43 do today is have that Vic Emergency app downloaded, have it on the phone, always have more than one
00:49 source of information, listen to your emergency broadcaster, watch the ABC for emergency updates
00:55 and take advice from authorities because today is a day that you cannot be complacent about fire.
