00:06They're world champions, they're ranked number two on the planet, and they don't have a major
00:12sponsor. The Australian wheelchair rugby team, the Steelers, are one of our most successful
00:18national sides. But despite gold medals, world titles and a decorated history, they're still
00:25searching for corporate backing. To get to the next level, to get the everyday Australian to know
00:31who the Steelers are and to fall in love with us and to allow us to do more, we need
00:37a corporate
00:37sponsor. Like every sports team, we're probably the only ones at this stage that are bold enough
00:42to go out there and ask for it as a parasport and try and build a level of parity with,
00:47say,
00:47an able-bodied sport in this country. Four-time Paralympian Chris Bond has always had a dream
00:53to represent Australia and wear the green and gold, winning two gold medals and a bronze in the
00:59process. Now in a bold statement, the team has shelled the iconic Aussie colours for a plain
01:05white uniform, a symbol of their search for support. We are shouting from the rooftops and we're wearing
01:11our kit and saying, scan the QR code. Wheelchair Rugby Australia are calling on sport fans to share the
01:18campaign and tag brands to support the team and help shape the future of the sport.
01:25Every game, we wear our heart on our sleeves. And now it's time for sponsors to do the same.
01:30We're just looking for that last piece, provide a better environment for our athletes,
01:34create more exposure, get more people to see our sport. But encourage the Australian public to
01:41scan the QR code here and have a look on our website, officiallyunsponsored.com and tag a brand
01:48who you think would align best to the Australian Steelers. I've been around for a long time now.
01:52I want to see that next generation come through. This hasn't been enough wheelchair rugby athletes
01:57in Australia come through and I want to give them the opportunity to know our sport, to watch our sport.
02:02You can't be what you can't see.
