00:00 What do you think about Coach Harbaugh? First things first, how did it feel as someone that
00:07 actually had been there and done it to see Michigan back on top again?
00:13 First of all, Michigan's always on top. So I said Michigan had a drought. I was like,
00:19 what kind of drought? We've never had a drought before in our life. It's Michigan. We don't
00:23 have droughts. All we do is essentially win.
00:25 We allowed other people to enjoy what we've always enjoyed, which is success. That's what's
00:35 amazing about Michigan. But the fact that we won a national championship after 25 years,
00:40 my team being the last one that won the national championship, guys on the team like Greasy
00:45 and Brady and Hudson and Hudson, so many Hall of Famers. Maybe I was like, I'm not on the
00:51 ballot yet, but maybe. But it's amazing at the fact of what Harbaugh was able to do.
00:58 And I think in the end, it was a win-win scenario for everybody.
01:02 So there's no, it's kind of that you can't resent him for leaving, right?
01:06 Why? He got what he wanted. We got what we wanted. And Coach Moore got what he wanted
01:11 too. So now you have an amazing coach that's coming in that I think towards the end was
01:16 just, well, obviously because Harbaugh was out, he couldn't coach, right? So Coach Moore
01:21 coached and then that set him up. And I think Harbaugh actually let him coach more than
01:26 probably people saw throughout the national championship run. I don't think Harbaugh really
01:31 did that much. Look how many coordinators that Harbaugh went through. We went through
01:35 over the years too. And look what like Moore came up as a tight ends coach, right? Like
01:39 Western Kentucky. That just shows you, it doesn't matter where you essentially come
01:43 from, right? As long as someone believes in you, you can all of a sudden find your way,
01:47 just like those kids at Capital Momentum. And Coach Moore now is in that leadership
01:50 position that I think he's much, that he's much deserved. And, and I'm willing to support
01:56 him. I want to, I want to make sure I back him and get everybody else a part of the,
02:00 you know, the University of Michigan crew as we always do to make sure that he's successful.
02:04 I hope, I hope Harbaugh is successful as well. Like I said, he got what he wanted. And now
02:09 that asterisk of it being too long for us to win the national championship has been
02:13 removed and now we have the national championship. So you've run out of the tunnel for, for Super
02:18 Bowls. You've run out of the tunnel, national champion. There wasn't a playoff stand, but
02:22 it was in the Rose Bowl against Washington state. Me just sitting in the stadium. I was
02:26 at the Alabama Michigan game. I got goosebumps still right down there. The orange bowl. Oh,
02:31 you're talking about this year. Not the one with the MVP. That's called a senior moment.
02:38 Yeah. Going back to the time of which I was in the orange bowl. That was the last time
02:42 that Michigan played against Alabama. Tom Brady won the NBA. I know there was a reason
02:47 for it, but what was it like? Just, I'm getting goosebumps that night. We don't watch it.
02:51 And McCarthy and the, the emotion after out of all the states you played in, what was
02:55 it like playing the Rose bowl? What's the memory? Is it one of the coolest experiences?
02:59 I think it's different depending upon the type of player that you are. You can only
03:04 be hyped for so long before you start to come down from it and you need to be able to rise
03:11 throughout the entire game. Right. So for me, I was always the person that just was
03:16 that steady burn and then you slowly escalate. So I remember towards the end of the game,
03:22 right? Remember Ryan leaf was making the play to come back. I forgot how many seconds or
03:25 how many minutes it was for them to score or try to score. And then, you know, we ended
03:29 up winning the game. So I remember how the game sharply escalated and all of a sudden,
03:34 you know, your heart's beating on your chest. You're just like, I just got to get the guy
03:37 down. I got to get the ball down. You know, I got to make sure that the clock runs out
03:40 and we win this game. So it was less emotion coming out of the tunnel and more emotion
03:45 going into closing out and winning the game.
