00:00 Hi Karl, another disappointing result again today. How did you see the game going?
00:07 Yeah, I don't want to sound like a broken record and say it's unlucky because it's not.
00:14 We've got to work harder, we've got to do the basics better.
00:19 I didn't think, like I said, we had a bit of a fight, better than Saturday.
00:24 I asked for a reaction, got a reaction, but they're a good team.
00:31 They've been together a long time, they move the ball, they get in behind, they know each other's games.
00:38 Two of the goals were sloppy, I'm not happy about the goals again, two sloppy goals.
00:45 The first one we can defend better and the second one we don't get out and he flicked it in from four yards, so Fanki's got no chance.
00:52 We're just giving goals away, it's something we'll work on in training on Thursday.
00:58 Like I said, they're out there for a reason and we're in a situation where we are, like I said, I don't want to sound like a broken record all the time, but we are building something.
01:10 Like I said, if you'd have seen it tonight, we've got a back four that's been just strung together.
01:16 Dan got injured at the weekend and obviously Pash unavailable because of work.
01:23 Not making excuses because at the end of the day, these things happen in football.
01:27 But the back four, the strung back four did well tonight. Apart from the two goals, they've done well.
01:33 Midfield worked hard, Bart's coming in on his debut, done alright, ran around a bit, showed a bit of fight.
01:41 Jermaine did Jermaine, he was a nuisance up there.
01:46 I asked for a reaction off my skipper tonight and he gave me one.
01:51 He was really good tonight, led the line.
01:55 It's just one of them, like I said, we just didn't create enough again.
02:00 It is coming and it's something we're going to work on on Thursday.
02:03 We're going to be working on it ready because I can see there's an issue with the fact that we're not creating enough.
02:09 It probably seems like that from the fans. We're just not doing enough in the final third.
02:14 But like I said, this is something we're building, so we've got to just trust the process.
02:21 And then, like I said, the results will come.
02:24 Like I said, if you would have said to me tonight, we'd have took a draw, we'd have took a draw all day long.
02:29 But it's a defeat. Yes, it's 2-0.
02:33 I'll take the positives out of it, what I can.
02:36 And we move forward to Saturday.
02:39 Important game coming on Saturday against Tavistock. So your thoughts on that one?
02:43 Yeah, important game. Like I said, it's away from home, so it might take a bit of the pressure off of us playing away from here.
02:50 Because for some reason we've got a bit of a burden there. We just don't seem to do enough at home.
02:57 Like I said, I don't know if it's just something that we're lacking confidence at home.
03:02 We seem to lose. We seem to give goals away here easy.
03:06 But the positive is, like I said, every time we've played away from home, we've been decent.
03:11 So I expect the boys to prepare properly. We'll work on things on Thursday, especially in the final third.
03:19 It won't be a manic session. It'll be walking through, shape, pattern and play.
03:23 And hopefully we can punish them on Saturday. Do you know what I mean?
03:26 So we'll go into that with obviously as much confidence as we can go.
03:31 I mean, get a bit of positivity in there with the squad, because like I said, they are a bit deflated at the moment.
03:37 And I've just said to them, and now I said, just keep your heads up.
03:40 We're still in it. There's still plenty of games to go, plenty of points to play for.
03:44 So there's no point of just hitting the panic button yet.
03:47 So this is a group that has been strong together and they've just got to believe in themselves.
03:53 From my point of view, like I said, it does seem a bit of a kick and rush and players are not on the same wavelength.
04:00 So it is something that we will be working on Thursday, just trying to get that bit of pattern of play together
04:06 so that we know each other's games a little bit better, so that we can go into Saturday with a bit more confidence on the pitch.
04:12 And then hopefully we can start creating more chances and start creating goal opportunities.
04:20 So at the moment, like I said, it's in both boxes. We're not doing enough.
04:25 And that's been like that since the Froome game, where we didn't create anything then.
04:31 We didn't create anything against Manor Farm and we certainly haven't created enough tonight.
04:35 And we did go with a front two. So it's something to work on.
04:39 I'm not going to punish the lads in regards to their performance, because I said I asked for a reaction.
04:46 I asked for hard work, determination and a bit of desire. And we got that.
04:51 So tonight I did feel like the ref spoiled the game.
04:56 I don't like to talk about refs at all because, like I said, they got a hard job.
05:01 But I think he was a bit on the other side for... Not the other side. I think he was bad for both teams.
05:08 He made some strange decisions, especially when we were on the attack, he would give a foul.
05:15 If they were on the attack, he would give a foul. And he was like stop, start, stop, start.
05:18 And he seemed to get a bit card happy with fouls that I don't think were fouls.
05:23 So it is one of them. But like I said, congratulations to them. They were better than us on the night.
05:29 Like I said, they'll move on as a big club and they will probably push on and probably win the league.
05:35 And we've just got to literally keep our heads and build something.
05:40 And like I said, we got a long run of games now. We got, I think it's Tavistock, Eastham Tuesday night and then Westbury on Friday.
05:52 So the games are coming thick and fast. So hopefully, like I said, we'll build on it.
05:56 We've got games that are in and around us. This one we just chalk off and we move forward as a club.
06:03 OK, thank you. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
06:06 Cheers, mate. Bye.
