00:00John just had the Petersfield Hokka Community 5k yeah obviously great to put
00:06it on so the inspiration sort of how it all came about for you. I wanted to do
00:10something with the running community of Petersfield for ages so I don't feel
00:14like Petersfield itself has like a community but there's loads of young
00:18people who want to get out and run and do something fun and move so the lovely
00:22people at Hoxton, I go there every day for a coffee, they've got into running so
00:27we said let's just do something here. I work for Hoka, the running shoe brand so I
00:31said well let's do a shoe try on the free coffee and see how many people can get
00:34out for a nice run. I think we've got 60 people out for a lovely run at least this
00:38morning so that's the inspiration. We want to get people in Petersfield together to do
00:43something different on a Friday morning and I think we've achieved that. Yeah 60
00:46people must be great you know really really sort of good community feeling
00:49here today. Yeah it's just really nice to be able to go around and speak to people and
00:52like hopefully introduce new runners to each other and then to get people out
00:56running together because running on your own can be really boring and it's going to be
01:01inspiring to go out and meet new people and run together. And for you obviously doing lots of
01:06events for Hoka but nice to really come here locally and do this in Petersfield.
01:10Oh my god yes well today's actually my third anniversary of working for Hoka. I started
01:16working for the brand three years ago today so really cool to be able to tie that in
01:20with my local community and doing something for everyone here, getting people out, trying
01:24our shoes on, taking them for a run and just doing something really cool. And I think we've achieved that. Everyone's having a coffee, having a chinwag and I think the people of
01:34Petersfield seeing all these runners this morning were like what's going on at 8 o'clock this morning?! There's all these people running through and there's a big scarecrow man blowing a Vuvuzela at me.
01:41Yeah so yeah made the mark hasn't it grabbed the attention and runners of all abilities we all sort of you know community event wasn't it yeah.
01:49I think that's what we want like we're going to hopefully try and do something like this maybe monthly starting from Hoxland on a monthly basis so we're doing a video pool please go away and hopefully just try and inspire people and build community around running which is the most important thing to do I think. And yeah for all abilities it doesn't matter what speed you are like.
01:59It doesn't matter it doesn't matter it's just about getting out and doing it and moving the body.
