00:00 I think it's really important that lessons are learned from this and really
00:05 critical actually that we get an understanding of what happened in the
00:10 mental health system where this individual had received treatment
00:16 previously. My understanding is that there was awareness of his behaviour
00:22 very much within the system. Now that needs to be looked at very carefully and
00:28 then of course also the policing response as well. Ultimately
00:33 we've got to learn from this. We have had, and I don't want to comment
00:37 on this specific case, but we have had other situations where unfortunately
00:42 gaps in the mental health system have created huge problems, also
00:49 gaps in policing. As you would expect, Labour has set out measures
00:53 we believe need to be taken so that we're really buttressing that provision
00:58 of mental health care, especially for those who are very seriously unwell and
01:04 also of course around policing where sadly that blue line has just got
01:09 thinner and thinner over time.
