00:00I think the Labour government have made terrible choices. They're wasting money on many things and
00:04failing to properly fund things like the police. Already we see police numbers falling. The
00:10Metropolitan Police are going to effectively shrink by one and a half thousand police officers
00:14this year. You know, the Conservatives in government, when I was police minister,
00:17delivered record ever numbers of police officers. Headcount went from 146,000 in 2010 to 149,000,
00:25in fact 149,769 to be precise, on the 31st of March last year. So crime halved and record police
00:32numbers, that was the Conservative legacy, but Labour is putting that at risk by not giving
00:37the police enough money and that means police numbers are falling.
