00:04 going to do a little bit of a tour of the new facility. So we're just walking
00:08 in the front door now Ashley's going to take us through what we're looking at.
00:13 So when we come in here to the right Ashley, what have we got here?
00:17 So this is our pro shop, one of the largest in the southwest region of Victoria.
00:24 And this is where our club professional Trent Weirland will be operating.
00:29 And you told me though is it in here there'll be another special feature?
00:33 There is, so if we keep continuing walking through towards the counter, I can take you through to the virtual golf room.
00:41 And you were telling me that the build is on track and people are going to be able to get in and enjoy it in early February?
00:51 It certainly is, for a couple of weeks delay just due to the arrival of carpet and furniture.
00:58 But other than that we're almost there.
01:00 And as I've been seeing there's views from absolutely every part of the new facility aren't there?
01:08 There are, in the toilets and kitchen, and we'll have views of the golf course.
01:12 That's amazing. Alright well we'll keep moving through but as you can see here the clubhouse has panoramic views and they're just stunning.
01:24 It sure does, I'm very fortunate to have a great view of the golf course.
01:29 And on a clear day you can see all the way up to Lady Bay and the breakwater as well.
01:34 Incredible. So if we go into the left, if you take me through where we're heading into Ashley.
01:39 Sure, so this is our bar lounge.
01:42 Amazing view again.
01:45 This area sits up to about 70 guests.
01:50 It's a nice place for our golfers to sit after a round of golf.
01:54 But you can also come out, anyone's welcome out here in our bar lounge for a coffee and cake or lunch throughout the week.
02:02 That's amazing. And you were also telling me that the community's really gotten behind the fundraising efforts and it's going well?
02:10 Yeah, our fundraising efforts I think has exceeded expectations.
02:14 We've raised over a million dollars now which is a fantastic collective effort.
02:20 And certainly not just our members but our community and businesses alike have really supported that which is fantastic.
02:29 Yeah it's just amazing.
02:35 So this is our function area. This can sit up to about 150 people and we can divide the two areas as well if needed.
02:44 And you said you'd already got a few bookings?
02:47 Yeah, we've actually got about half a dozen in the first couple of months after opening.
02:53 So we're really excited to welcome those people in and start using the facility.
02:58 Absolutely. And you also said that it's been a pretty busy summer for the club?
03:03 Yeah, we've been flat out on the course which is not unusual but I feel like we're being a little bit busier this year which is fantastic.
03:12 And a lot of visitors are saying that they can't wait to come back and be able to utilise the clubhouse as well.
