00:08 Listen, I thought we did well. I thought from going 2-0 down we were disappointed with,

00:14 but they took full advantage of our bad start. It took us a while to grow into the game,

00:19 we looked a little bit nervous, a little bit unsure of what we were up against. I felt

00:24 once we grew into the game we had some good composure. I think a draw is a fair result.

00:32 We probably had some chances that we felt we could have done better in the second half

00:35 when we were on top, but then they could have nicked it a couple of times as well. We were

00:39 playing against a side that was very, very good going forward, good on the break. So

00:44 for us it's a good point. We're a little bit disappointed maybe we didn't make something

00:48 count, but I'm sure they'll be exactly the same.

00:51 A slightly nervous start, was that maybe just respecting them?

00:55 I don't know. We're quite a young group, they're doing well. Maybe we bigged them up a little

01:02 bit to be fair, because they are a good side. So maybe there was some nerves there to start

01:06 with, but it was a really poor start. I felt I was one of them where you go, we could be

01:11 getting threes, fours, fives if we carry on like this. But credit to the lads and it's

01:16 a little bit easier to play when you're losing. So we still made some better decisions, moved

01:25 the ball a little bit quicker, maybe they sat off it, I don't know. All those things

01:28 sort of come into it, but we were pleased with what we put into the game on quite a

01:31 difficult pitch.

01:32 A bit bobbly, wasn't it, out there?

01:34 It was. It was good to be fair, after the way it's been the last few weeks, to get it

01:38 looking that good is credit to the club. But it wasn't ideal for football because it was

01:44 a little bit solid with a little bit cold tonight and a little bit bobbly. But I felt

01:51 we dealt with it well.

01:52 And the first goal, lovely ball from Cao and Tain, good composure.

01:56 Yes, we've been asking for more forward runs, we think we've become a little bit predictable

02:01 against teams. I think the ball initially was probably for Karim, but Tain's made a

02:08 great run off the back of him and it's a good finish. So pleased with that for Tain because

02:12 he's been in and out of the team, a couple of injuries. Now two starts, did well Saturday,

02:17 so it was good to get him back in and he's got his goal, which is great.

02:21 And Anwar, the equaliser on half-time, is going to be up there for a goal of the season?

02:25 If he meant it, yes. Listen, I thought Anwar was a threat first half and he gave them some

02:32 problems. Did he mean that? I don't know, but it doesn't matter when he's done well

02:36 to beat the men, to be fair. And probably, I think, was looking to put it back across

02:41 the box, but it ended up going in, so it looked good.

02:45 Yes, and to get that just before half-time was a real boost. Coming level after going

02:52 behind was good.

02:53 And then, what was the message at half-time then? Because obviously you were right back

02:56 in the game then.

02:57 Just carry on doing what we're doing, really. I thought we were good. Try and be a little

03:03 bit more... cut out the mistakes that we were making. Both ends of the pitch, I felt we

03:09 made bad decisions even when we were attacking sometimes and that gives them the ball back.

03:16 We felt we could go on and win it, if I'm honest, which I felt we had a go at doing,

03:21 which was good. We showed good quality on the ball. It just didn't quite happen.

03:27 In the second half, you had some pressure and some chances, but you just didn't quite

03:31 forward it.

03:32 Yes, I felt Kareem could have done better, but then it bobbled. You never know if you're

03:35 not in that position. He said it bobbled just as he went to strike it. We had a lot of pressure,

03:43 I felt. Again, it's just the hardest bit. The final bit is what's letting us down, but

03:51 everything up to that is good.

03:52 And against one of the better sides in the league, up in the playoff spots, it's a bit

03:58 of encouragement there?

03:59 Yes, we know we can compete with the teams at the top. I can't afford to give teams head

04:07 starts like that because on another day they could have killed the game off and we would

04:12 have been dead and buried, but they didn't. We've done well to get ourselves back in it.

04:16 The sides at the top, they're up there for a reason. We've played all of them. We've

04:21 played Rains Park, we've played Leck Red, we've played Southall, we've played Dempsey.

04:26 Chelsea?

04:27 We haven't played Chelsea yet, so that's one of the teams at the top. We haven't played

04:31 Westfield. We've got all those to come. They're all good sides, they've all got good qualities

04:39 who on their day can beat anyone. But I feel we're up there as well. I feel we can compete

04:46 with every team in the league on our day. Get people back playing consistently, get

04:52 training sessions in us, get some consistency within the squad because we've been a bit

04:58 'there's people in, people out', new players in, we can do with people back from injury.

05:05 But we're getting there. We're just learning every week and building a good side I feel.

05:11 And thoughts now, just looking ahead, Guernsey on Saturday?

05:14 Yes, a tough one because Guernsey obviously won points. When we went over there I felt

05:19 we were fortunate to come away with a win. We didn't play very well, showed good character

05:24 there to come back and win 3-1 after them going 1-up. But we didn't do ourselves justice

05:29 over there if I'm honest. It was all a bit new, everyone's got to go over there, but

05:33 I felt the day was really rushed. So it'd be good to see if we can dominate a game again

05:39 like we did against Met Police and have a little bit more quality in the final third

05:43 and try and get three points, which is needed because it's all good. We say if we can't

05:48 win, don't lose. But points really aren't when you look at what we've done in the last

05:53 six games now. I think we fought drawn four and lost two, so four points ain't a great

05:57 return from AT.

05:59 Yes, you say some draws, we just want that win to...

06:02 Yes, and it happened to us a couple of years ago when we were in the Combine Counties.

06:06 We had a spell where we weren't losing but we weren't picking up the points and then

06:09 you look back on it and you go, 'well, if we maybe got a couple of wins, took a few

06:13 of them, swap them over, have a couple of defeats rather than draws, give yourself a

06:18 few more points'. But I don't like losing. So we've come away tonight, we're pleased

06:22 with what we've got, a draw, as we have been, as we were Saturday to be fair. Another game

06:27 we could have won but it didn't happen.
