00:09 by floodwaters in Kota Tinggi on Sunday has been identified as Choongyam Choong.
00:16 The contractor, who's in his 50s, told Haryan Metro that he was on his way to Maui when
00:21 he saw a friend, who was driving on the same route, pull over to the side of the road.
00:27 He followed suit and saw a car and a woman being swept away by a strong current in the
00:32 drain.
00:33 Choong said he didn't think twice and immediately jumped into the drain to reach the woman,
00:38 who was struggling to hold onto the rear of her car.
00:41 He managed to push her to safety and several members of the public also helped out.
00:47 Choong, who hails from Kota Tinggi, said he was happy to have saved the woman to prevent
00:52 her from any harm.
00:54 He added that he is a good swimmer and grateful to have had the stamina to help the victim.
00:59 Choong, who did not get injured, said money can be earned but a life lost cannot be replaced.
