A woman was caught in a dangerous situation, swept away by the sea due to an underestimation of the water's depth. Lacking swimming skills, she began to sink, but a brave young man, without a second thought for his own safety, risked his life to save her. This entire dramatic rescue was captured by onlookers on their mobile phones near Bhagvati Bunder in Ratnagiri.

The incident unfolded on a Tuesday morning around 7 AM. The woman had gone near the sea close to Bhagvati Bunder to collect oysters. Misjudging the water's depth, she was pulled into the sea and within moments, found herself about 200 meters offshore. As she struggled to stay afloat, people nearby raised an alarm. However, no one dared to enter the water to rescue her.

At this critical moment, international swimming coach Mahesh Milke, along with his wife and son Karan, were nearby training swimmers. Hearing the commotion, they rushed to the scene and saw the woman drowning. Mahesh Milke immediately instructed his son Karan to jump into the water and save her. Without hesitation, Karan plunged into the sea.

Within seconds, Karan reached the woman and tried to support her using an inflatable tube he had. However, due to her panic and distress, she couldn't hold onto the tube properly. Karan then signaled for a boat, which quickly arrived. With the help of the boat, the woman was eventually brought ashore.

The woman had swallowed a significant amount of water. Initial first aid was administered to help her expel the water, but she remained unconscious. The Milke family and their team then called for an ambulance, and she was admitted to the hospital. The young man's courageous act of saving the woman, who is currently undergoing treatment, has earned him widespread praise. It is truly commendable that a young individual risked his own life to save another. After her rescue, the woman's family expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Karan Milke by joining their hands.
