00:00 To give us more details on the upcoming indie film
00:03 "Ang Babae Ayaw Mamatay"
00:05 We'll be joining this morning in the studio
00:08 with the cast of this film.
00:09 And joining us this morning are
00:12 Mojai Rasanama, Julian Rojas, Geraldine Aleria, and Chris Lim.
00:16 Good morning and welcome to Rise and Shine Philippines.
00:18 Good morning!
00:19 Merry Christmas!
00:22 Mojai's attire is very Christmasy today.
00:24 Yeah, I love it.
00:25 Sparkling.
00:26 First of all, where does the story of the film "Ang Babae Ayaw Mamatay" revolve?
00:31 And who are the great directors and producers of this film?
00:35 Maybe anyone can answer?
00:39 So, our director is Ron Sapinoso.
00:45 And our producer is Miss Janadee.
00:49 She's also the leading actress in our film.
00:53 Oh wow!
00:54 Double role, that's amazing.
00:56 Mojai, what role did you take in this film?
01:00 The role of the woman who doesn't want to die.
01:02 And what difficulties did you face before you became a part of this film?
01:07 So, before anything else,
01:10 I just want to greet our viewers.
01:13 And also, I want to greet our beloved directors,
01:18 our fighting directors,
01:20 Directors Caloy and Jacob.
01:24 Also, our movie director, Ron Sapinoso.
01:28 Our executive producer, Ryan Manuel Favis.
01:33 And our producer, Miss Janadee.
01:37 So, back to the question.
01:39 I underwent auditions before I got part of "Ang Babae Ayaw Mamatay".
01:46 And before I auditioned, I did my research because that's the first thing to do when auditioning.
01:53 And then, I found out the characteristics that I was looking for in the role of young Luna.
02:01 And I was thrilled because I read that they were looking for people who are good at martial arts.
02:10 I was so thrilled because it was my first time to be a part of an action movie.
02:17 So, I went to the audition and when I arrived, I was practicing outside.
02:23 And I was so nervous and overthinking at the same time because the only martial art that I know...
02:30 Because we're overthinkers.
02:32 Yes.
02:33 Our age.
02:34 Age.
02:36 So, I was overthinking because the only martial art that I know is Muay Thai, kickboxing.
02:43 And what they were looking for is the army.
02:45 So, I was overthinking.
02:47 I was like, "What should I do? I don't have much knowledge in the army."
02:52 So, I was like, "It's up to me. I'll just show what I can do."
02:57 "I'll just do this and that."
02:59 At least, I gave it my all. At least, I tried my best.
03:02 So, during the audition, I did everything they asked me to do.
03:07 I remember they asked me if I know how to use a sword.
03:10 So, I said, "I'll try."
03:12 But I was so nervous that time because I had no idea how to execute properly.
03:19 So, after that, I said, "When I go home, I'll just do it."
03:24 "I'll just do it because I don't know."
03:28 I thought I was better at Muay Thai and they were looking for an arnie.
03:33 So, I just did it.
03:35 But the next day, I got a message saying that I passed and I will proceed to the final casting.
03:43 So, I said, "I'll just do it in the final casting."
03:46 So, I researched on YouTube and Google.
03:48 How to use the arnie.
03:49 Yes, how to use the arnie.
03:50 That's the exact thing that I researched.
03:53 How to use the arnie.
03:54 How to do it.
03:55 Arnie is not taught in PE.
03:58 No, because I'm in homeschool.
04:01 But it's worth it, right?
04:03 Yes.
04:04 You passed and you still got the role.
04:06 Now, let's go to Julian.
04:07 Who are you in this film?
04:10 How did you fall in love with your role?
04:13 I play Take.
04:16 Take Cazeno.
04:17 He's supposed to be a 35-year-old.
04:19 Why Take? Japanese?
04:20 Yes, he's Japanese.
04:21 So, he's a samurai.
04:23 And, I'm allowed to say this.
04:26 I think, for me, the way I see his character, he's looking for peace.
04:31 So, that's what he wants out of the whole movie.
04:36 But in real life, you're looking for peace as well.
04:39 Peace or war?
04:41 I'm at peace.
04:42 Okay.
04:43 Geraldine, how difficult is the process of preparing for the production?
04:48 And, what are the challenges that you face under the direction of Ryan Chavez and Ron Sapinoso?
04:54 Okay, thank you.
04:56 Before anything else, I want to greet our producer, Ms. Cheney.
05:03 To our executive producer, Ryan Manuel Chavez.
05:08 To our director, Ron Sapinoso.
05:11 And to our two fighting directors, Director Caloy Balasbas and Director Jacob Bahian.
05:17 So, back to your question.
05:22 It's really hard, preparing for our movie.
05:27 Because, first of all, we've been preparing for months.
05:33 Just to make sure that our movie will be good.
05:38 So, before anything else, we've done a lot of activities.
05:42 Like, we've done a lot of trials and errors.
05:47 Like, press conference, story conference.
05:50 We also have an acting workshop for the actors.
05:54 We also have training for how to be better and more resilient for the production of this movie.
06:05 Okay, so I want to know, you're one of the cast here?
06:08 Yes, I am.
06:09 I'm one of the cast here as Ms. Lucia, as Luna's mother.
06:12 So, it's not that easy.
06:14 Because, you know, you're an artist.
06:16 You memorize your script.
06:18 At the same time, I'm a supervisor in this production.
06:23 At the same time, I'm also a wardrobe.
06:25 So, for me, it's a big challenge.
06:28 But, because I love my job and I accepted it, I know I can do it.
06:34 Wow.
06:35 Because, if you're passionate about what you're doing,
06:38 you can do anything.
06:40 Yes.
06:41 I really love my job because I also appear in movies.
06:47 I'm also an actor.
06:48 If you love your job, you'll love your job.
06:51 So, you think you love your job?
06:52 Of course.
06:53 Okay, that's good.
06:54 Okay, how about you, Chris?
06:56 What's one thing in this movie that you think the audience will relate to?
07:01 And why should the audience like this?
07:04 As a viewer, we can relate to what's inside our hearts.
07:13 Like what they said in our church, the true church of God,
07:17 that what's inside our hearts is our treasure.
07:23 So, if our treasure is our career, let's say, of course, you'll pursue that.
07:29 Career, career-based, money, or whatsoever.
07:31 Relationships, like that.
07:34 If you really love someone, you value them.
07:38 So, one thing I can relate to is that what's inside our hearts is what's leading our lives.
07:48 So, I hope the viewers who are watching this will learn a lot from this movie.
07:56 Why should we click on this movie? Because it's not that very simple.
08:03 Our movie is not that...
08:06 Like the movies of Filipinos, let's say, the real ones,
08:13 the movies of Filipinos nowadays are not that good.
08:20 So, in this movie, we'll do a more on Korean take.
08:28 So, it will be very fascinating to watch.
08:33 And it's very dramatic.
08:34 But what's your role in this movie?
08:36 I'm the supervisor of the movie.
08:39 So, yeah, I'm just the supervisor.
08:43 But you're not acting, like Mam.
08:46 I'm not. I'm just at home.
08:48 But it's good to know that we're trying to integrate the movies we're watching,
08:54 like the Korean films and drama series.
08:57 And not only that, there are a lot of movies that are also related to the Filipino movies.
09:02 We want to know when is the showing of "Babaing Ayaw Mamatayan"?
09:06 Please do invite our viewers to watch and support the upcoming movie.
09:10 Go ahead, our main cast, our main character.
09:14 We don't have a final date yet.
09:18 But everyone, I hope you support us in "Babaing Ayaw Mamatayan".
09:24 And I'm hoping that you'll watch it.
09:28 Because as Kuya said, we'll learn a lot from this movie.
09:33 And I hope that as we portray our movie and give life to our characters, you'll like it.
09:40 Maybe so that we'll have a date, I think you have your social media account, IndyIndy?
09:45 Yes, I do.
09:46 Okay.
09:47 Alright, well thank you very much for sharing the details about your upcoming indie film,
09:52 "Babaing Ayaw Mamatayan".
