00:00 Congratulations, huge week for you. You just won Dancing with the Stars.
00:03 I know, isn't that crazy? I don't know how that even happened.
00:07 It feels like the week all just went by so fast.
00:10 When they called your names, what was your reaction?
00:12 Oh my gosh, I was just... I have to say, like each week whenever Val and I would dance,
00:17 it had that similar feeling, you know? It was just kind of this joy of just how exciting it felt.
00:23 And so the thing is, winning was that exact same feeling except like times ten.
00:27 And I think it's just only now processed that I won the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, which is crazy.
00:34 But, you know, I'm very grateful and very thankful, you know?
00:38 What was the highlight of the whole experience on Dancing with the Stars?
00:42 Probably meeting Val, you know? He has really taught me so much.
00:46 He has been such a great mentor and teacher.
00:48 And I don't think I have ever had my voice heard as much as he has let me feel that, you know?
00:55 And I think as a young girl, I think that is a really big feeling to have and also to be validated.
01:02 And, you know, I'm very thankful for that, especially in this space, you know?
01:06 Watching the show, he always seems like he's such a great partner.
01:09 He is, yeah. Well, no, he just very much listens to you.
01:12 And also I have dyslexia. I have like certain things where it's a little harder for me to learn.
01:17 And he really knew how to pick up on that.
01:19 And I think that's what makes a good teacher, is being able to adapt to the person that you're teaching.
01:24 And he knows how to do that.
01:27 We're here this morning honoring women in entertainment like yourself.
01:30 How does it feel to be here surrounded by so many powerful women?
01:32 It's amazing. You know, as a young kid, I felt like there wasn't too much of that.
01:37 And growing up, I've definitely seen a huge change.
01:40 And so to be here and to be surrounded by such amazing, talented, powerful women, I'm really happy.
01:46 You know, even on the way here, I was listening to music that I'm like, wow.
01:49 Women have really been able to put their voices out there and be heard.
01:52 And it's just so amazing how much, you know, we have that.
01:56 I'm very thankful.
01:57 It's been a huge year for women in entertainment and female artists.
02:00 The Grammy nominations are dominated by female artists going into next year.
02:04 Like, let's freaking go.
02:07 Who's one female artist that you've been loving their music lately?
02:10 Lately, it's been Sabrina Carpenter.
02:13 She has that's one that I have to say I'm really impressed by just because of her sass that she's able to put into her music.
02:21 Is very cheeky, but also very strategic.
02:24 Same with Olivia Rodrigo, you know, and I think that has a lot to do with, you know, Taylor Swift.
02:29 And having that kind of young female artist to be able to listen to is crazy.
02:34 Are you a Swifty? I am. Me too.
02:39 I'm a huge Swifty. Huge Swifty. I'm like, guys, come on.
02:42 How could we not, you know? What Taylor Swift era would you say you're in right now in your life?
02:48 It's similar to the one that I performed.
02:50 So definitely my lover era still, especially because of the wind.
02:52 I'm just like, I'm it's all roses and rainbows and sunshine.
02:56 So that's where I'm at. You nailed that lover era dance.
02:59 It was so good. Thank you. That was probably one of my favorites just because it's so me and it was just so fun and light and airy.
03:06 It was cute one coming off this big Dancing with the Stars win.
03:09 What are you excited for in 2024? In 2024?
03:12 You know, I'm excited for just what's to come.
03:16 You never know what's going to happen. And I think that's what's so wonderful about just life, you know?
03:22 And so I'm excited for that. And honestly, I'm excited for tour because I'm going to be going on tour for Dancing with the Stars.
03:28 And I don't know what that entails, but Mandy Moore is choreography, doing choreography for that.
03:32 And so I'm excited to work with her and excited to be on the road.
03:36 I don't know what that's like. So fun. You'll be in your, you know, like your Eras tour era.
03:41 Mandy Moore choreographed the Eras tour and you're on tour.
03:44 I know. Literally, guys, I'm just trying to manifest my relationship with Taylor Swift in some way.
03:49 (laughing)
