00:00 (upbeat music)
00:02 - 5 p.m. Eastern time, it's number one Michigan,
00:06 and it's number four Alabama.
00:08 At this moment, Michigan has opened as a slight
00:11 one and a half point favorite,
00:13 minus 118, now minus 120 on the money line.
00:16 The total, under 50 total points,
00:19 at 46 and a half for that over under.
00:23 Donny, we said it, previewing the SEC Championship game
00:26 last Saturday, Alabama now has only been an underdog
00:29 four times in the previous decade.
00:32 All four opponents have been the same program.
00:35 It's the Georgia Bulldogs.
00:37 This is the first time that Crimson Tide
00:39 have been booked as an underdog against anybody
00:42 in the last 10 years of college football,
00:44 not named Georgia, and I think that's where we begin.
00:49 - Yes, we do begin there.
00:51 Two quick points though, before we get to Alabama,
00:53 Michigan overall for me.
00:54 Number one, you take a look at the college football
00:57 schedule, which again, I love the final four here,
00:59 but the fact of the matter is you have the game
01:00 at five o'clock, which is fantastic.
01:02 What is Texas, Washington doing on an 8.45 PM?
01:06 What world do we live in at this point here?
01:08 Why is that game not at two o'clock
01:10 and then you have a five o'clock game?
01:11 It's a national holiday.
01:13 There's a reason why the NFL doesn't line up
01:14 on Sunday afternoon, Ben, and play every single game
01:17 at 8.20 at night.
01:18 You have the entire day to dominate the field,
01:20 and don't give me another bowl game is at two o'clock,
01:23 'cause nobody cares about any other bowl games
01:25 than the college football playoff year.
01:27 That's gripe number one, but also gripe number two here,
01:30 which isn't really a gripe.
01:31 If you would have told us, Ben, and you specifically,
01:33 hey, you know what?
01:34 Georgia, Florida State in a big time bowl game,
01:37 you'd be excited.
01:38 Now, why aren't you excited for that?
01:39 We should be loving this.
01:40 We are getting exactly what we want.
01:42 Alabama, Michigan, Texas, Washington,
01:44 and Georgia, Florida State still gonna play.
01:46 So I don't see why everybody's all upset,
01:47 including Florida State.
01:48 You can say, yeah, look at that.
01:50 We won the Orange Bowl.
01:51 That's big time, baby.
01:52 Knock off an SEC opponent.
01:53 Now, back to Alabama, Michigan here.
01:56 You give Nick Saban three weeks to get prepared
01:59 for a football game.
02:00 I don't care who they are playing.
02:02 Advantage Alabama in that spot.
02:05 Now, having said that, 45 and a half does stick out,
02:08 'cause what's always our first inclination.
02:10 Hold on now, 45 and a half points, you gotta go over.
02:12 I get that here.
02:13 But Michigan is not entering into this football game, Ben,
02:17 to say, let's go toe to toe with Alabama's offense
02:20 and let it rip here, and let's go toe to toe,
02:22 Milrow versus my quarterback McCarthy.
02:24 I wanna put it here.
02:25 I don't know if the numbers are out yet.
02:27 I saw the any time touchdown scoring market,
02:28 minus 220 here for Wharram, which is hilarious.
02:31 But again, he's probably going to score
02:32 'cause that's what he does.
02:34 What is the passing prop here for JJ, quarterback?
02:36 And I don't mean yardage wise,
02:38 'cause I'm gonna say right now,
02:39 Michigan's goal we're having to throw 25 times
02:42 or less in this game.
02:43 I don't know if that's how it's gonna be a pathway
02:45 to victory, but that's a perfect scenario.
02:47 You tell me right now, JJ McCarthy's at 16 of 21.
02:51 Michigan won that football game.
