00:18 Hi, I'm Pat Egan, Regional Officer for the United Union.
00:21 We're here in the street at Alexander's, Venice Limited, for the next few weeks.
00:25 There's wage talks going on since April, but no further forward, and the guys are just very, very angry.
00:32 So they're wanting something done. It's a cut in real terms, and the guys have decided to take action.
00:38 They're on up to Christmas. It's a big sacrifice that these people are making, and United stand by them throughout.
00:45 And this is a salary and wage negotiations for '23 and '24?
00:51 It was for '23, and back to April. They say it should have been sorted long before now,
00:56 but the same last year, and we went over, and the company's dragging their heels on it.
01:01 We want to get it done, quick, sorted, and get a happy workforce going in there.
01:05 And is there communication with the company?
01:07 Not at the minute.

01:27 Dom Pritchard, GMB full-time official.
01:30 And Dom, what are the objectives for GMB today?
01:33 The objectives for GMB and their members today is to try and force the company into giving their members a decent pay rise.
01:42 And leading up to Christmas, that's not a good time of year to be losing out on wages.
01:46 It's a very big sacrifice their members are taking, and it's one that they don't take lightly.
01:52 And what are you calling on the company to do?
01:55 I'm calling on the company to get back round the table and improve their pay offer.
