00:02 >> Well now, Jonathan Taylor, a thumb injury that will require surgery,
00:07 which he will have today in Los Angeles.
00:09 He's out, Donnie, for two to three weeks.
00:11 >> Yeah, and you know what, you usually look at that, first of all,
00:15 let me preface this.
00:15 It's never a good thing when a superstar running back is going to miss games, but
00:18 it seems like we just keep rolling along in Indianapolis.
00:21 Why is that?
00:21 Because you had your starting quarterback, a first round draft pick that looked like
00:25 he was gonna be electric this season, knocked out.
00:27 You go to guard dementia, okay.
00:29 Let's not miss a beat, let's continue to win football games and
00:31 put ourselves in playoff position.
00:33 Jonathan Taylor, if we can remember, wasn't even supposed to be on the Colts
00:36 this year of how angry the two sides were.
00:38 So what happens there, they work things out, men fences, he comes back,
00:41 slowly works his way in.
00:42 Looks like he finally got back to that all pro status that we thought he could get to.
00:46 But all saying that, lying in the weeds here is Zach Moss.
00:49 141 carry, 672 yards, almost five yards per rush.
00:53 If there was one spot you could lose with a superstar player,
00:56 Moss should be able to fill in admirably.
00:58 And also keep in mind, we're not out for the year for Jonathan Taylor.
01:01 And as a running back, it's not an injury, Ben, where it's a hamstring,
01:05 it's a groin, it's a knee, it's an Achilles here.
01:08 You end up hurting your thumb, you can still work out.
01:10 He can have those fresh legs back to that true playoff front later in December here.
01:14 So the world is in a disguise here to say, it's not falling for the Colts.
01:17 You have a capable backup, he'll be back, let's see what they can do.
01:20 >> Yeah, DRS, when you look at Jonathan Taylor last week against Tampa Bay,
01:25 a victory for the Colts at home, winning by a touchdown.
01:28 Covering as a slight home favorite, Jonathan Taylor, 15 carries, 91 yards.
01:34 Two touchdowns last week, he has scored three touchdowns in the last two games for
01:39 Indianapolis, including a score in Frankfurt in the game against New England.
01:44 The Colts are on a three game win streak, Donnie, and
01:46 that's why they are six and five right now.
01:49 No, I don't think we expect, Donnie,
01:51 this Indianapolis team to be a playoff team by the end of the year.
01:56 But there's three teams at six and five, Indianapolis, Houston, and
02:01 Denver, all in the running for that third and final AFC wildcard spot at this moment.
02:07 The odds though, Donnie, not necessarily pessimistic on Indianapolis,
02:11 to make the playoffs plus 118, slightly favored to miss at minus 144.
02:18 But they should be there, at least in the running here, Donnie,
02:21 throughout the next few weeks of this National Football League regular season.
02:25 >> Absolutely, and some games that you take a look at technically fighting for
02:29 that same playoff spot.
02:30 Now, if you wanna take it to Cincinnati Bengals,
02:32 technically they are fighting for a playoff spot here in the AFC.
02:35 You have a game that's gonna match up against them, and
02:37 also games with the Pittsburgh Steelers and
02:38 a division rival gear in the Houston Texans.
02:41 There won't be any excuses like, we just got a scoreboard watch.
02:44 No, you handle your business.
02:45 You actually have a legitimate chance to make the playoffs,
02:47 which then we put that focus on Shane Sikon and
02:49 how well he's done coming over from the Philadelphia Eagles.
02:52 And certainly a battle at every single term, one of those teams we probably didn't
02:55 think would be all that exciting this year.
02:57 And if you would have told us, hey, to start the season,
02:59 turmoil in the backfield, you're gonna lose Anthony Richardson for this season.
03:02 Good luck next year, tank and get the highest draft pick you can get.
03:05 They haven't given up at all, and
03:06 quite frankly, looking like they have a legitimate chance to make the playoffs.
