Difference Between AI and Generative AI

Artificial intelligence (AI) refers to a wide range of technologies that enable robots to replicate human-like intellect. Generative AI, on the other hand, is a subset of AI that focuses solely on producing content, generally in the form of images, prose, or other creative outputs. While traditional AI executes predetermined tasks, Generative AI may generate fresh, original material on its own. Deep learning models are used to understand and repeat patterns, boosting creativity and innovation. The main differentiator, in essence, is the generative element, which allows robots to develop innovative outputs beyond prescribed tasks.
