00:10 but again, where is the mentality

00:12 of the Florida Gators right now?

00:14 I understand it's a rivalry game.

00:16 I understand Billy Napier, a better underdog coach,

00:19 but at the end of the day,

00:20 you look at that ball game on the road in Columbia.

00:23 They went toe to toe with Missouri.

00:25 Max Brown takes over.

00:26 They lose it in the final seconds.

00:29 Again, that takes a lot out of a football team.

00:31 I think the most complete team here is Florida State.

00:34 I think they dominate that secondary as well

00:37 in terms of Florida State only allowing 183 passing yards

00:41 for a game with a freshman quarterback, Max Brown.

00:44 I think that's the matchup.

00:45 I think Florida State does win this ball game

00:47 by double digits, Kev.

00:49 - It is a very personally tricky game

00:52 because Florida State,

00:54 one of two preseason national title futures

00:57 between them and Bama, since added Texas.

01:00 And it's the part of me that now says,

01:01 you know what, FSU, just clear the path for the Longhorns.

01:05 Because even if Florida State wins this game

01:08 and beats Louisville,

01:10 they'd at best probably get in as the fourth team in the CFP,

01:14 have to line up with a team

01:15 that they'd catch double digits against in the CFP playoff.

01:19 And as Florida State backer, is it worth it?

01:22 If you have other teams at your disposal.

01:25 - The thing I keep coming back to

01:27 and some of the conversation around this team

01:29 is this isn't the NFL.

01:31 In the NFL, when you go from Burrow to Browning,

01:34 it's your season is over.

01:36 When you go from Rogers to Zach Wilson, your season is over.

01:39 Jordan Travis has obviously been incredible this year.

01:42 But Tate Rodemaker, while he wasn't a high level recruit,

01:45 is still at Florida State for a reason.

01:48 He has a minimal workload, but again,

01:51 this is college football and Tate Rodemaker

01:53 is somebody that is supposed to be able to play

01:55 at the ACC level.

01:57 And luckily for Rodemaker,

01:58 he is playing one of the worst defenses

02:00 in all of college football.

02:01 One of the worst power five defenses in the sport.

02:04 So I think he can have success in this game.

02:07 And I think if he has a great game today against Florida,

02:10 which is possible, it will change the conversation about,

02:13 can unbeaten FSU be left out?

02:16 Which now feels like it's on the table.

02:18 All that aside, I'm on the under in this game

02:20 at 49 and a half.

02:21 This is a stunning number to me.

02:23 I know to say, oh, this total should be booked

02:25 like an Iowa game might sound a bit extreme,

02:27 but not only is Jordan Travis out, so is Graham Mertz.

02:31 And the Big 10 version of Graham Mertz

02:32 is all of a sudden a real quarterback.

02:34 Travis and Mertz have combined this season

02:36 for 40 passing touchdowns and five interception.

02:40 We're now on two backup quarterbacks here.

02:43 Would this total be 65 if Travis and Mertz were healthy?

02:47 I don't feel like this,

02:48 I don't know what we're doing here at 49 and a half.

02:51 I just don't feel that this number has moved enough.
