Arjan Stockhausen's artwork “Trichter” (Funnel) is a multimedia installation Galerie Nagel Draxler has shown at Art Cologne 2023. Stockhausen's work is a funnel-shaped spatial sculpture with objects, images, and 3D video. Another component is a site-specific composition by Wolfgang Voigt titled “Re-enchantment of the funnel”.

The Cologne artist Arjan Stockhausen will present a large walk-in sculpture entitled “Trichter“ (Funnel) at this year's Art Cologne art fair. Baroque like painting, sculpture and film interact with music in the form of the sound installation “Rückverzauberung im Trichter“ (Re-Enchantment in the Funnel) by Wolfgang Voigt.

“The funnel is a walk-in spatial sculpture, made for audio-visual irritation. A trap for lovers, an urgent request to go backwards, to embrace the darkness at the end of the tunnel. The loop as a formal principle of connecting space, film, sound and light. Sacred and profane."

Arjan Stockhausen and Wolfgang Voigt have documented their collaboration in the form of a handmade, limited, art record. The edition, consisting of a record (individual dubplate production) with the music of Wolfgang Voigt, in combination with variants of Arjan Stockhausen's visual work, will be available on November 16th 2023 in 2 versions at the Galerie Nagel Draxler stand at Art Cologne and via Kompakt Art.
