We Won't Tell Daddy! I. 2026 is a reworked version of a project by artist Nina Pacherová that was originally developed in 2024. Installation composed of deepfake videos embedded within soft, modular objects. Video; soft objects with integrated screens; deepfake technology (Al model training; digitally printed velvet fabric; wood; wire; found-footage videos sourced from TikTok and Instagram. Official description: The installation “We Won't Tell Daddy!” offers a speculative look at the phenomenon of "sharenting"-the oversharing of children's lives online. Through an act of technological disobedience, it exposes the risks of identity theft. And redefines the use of the deepfake technology by using it in reverse: as a tool of protection, rather than a weapon.
Through a series of uncanny videos and soft objects, the work examines the impact of digital footprints created for children by their par-ents, speculating on the future consequences of seemingly innocent viral trends. By exposing their long-term effects, it questions human agency and the line between danger and entertainment in the age of Al and influencers.
