NSW Police, aided by Strike Force Tromperie, arrested 28 individuals, executed 43 warrants, and confiscated 25 firearms in a major operation targeting a criminal network from Lebanon involved in over $1 billion worth of illicit activities.

00:00 Yesterday we saw 450 police deployed in the field,
00:04 conducting significant operational activity in the execution of 37 search warrants.
00:10 In total, as a result of yesterday's search warrants and activity over the past 12 months
00:15 of the strike force, two tonnes of prohibited drugs and precursors have been seized.
00:20 We've arrested 28 individuals and charged them with significant, indictable matters.
00:25 We've recovered 25 firearms, five of which were pistols.
00:29 We've recovered 60 dedicated encrypted devices and seized large amounts of cash,
00:35 designer jewellery and high-end vehicles.
00:38 I can indicate that this criminal organisation has been significantly disrupted, if not eliminated.
00:45 I acknowledge the work of the State Crime Command and in particular the organised crime squad
00:50 for the successes so far. This investigation is ongoing.
