00:05 More heat resistance, lower operating temperatures, more horsepower and torque.
00:08 There are all sorts of benefits that an aftermarket exhaust can give to your four-wheel drive.
00:12 Let's take a look at one trick set up from this competitor's vehicle at Top Truck Challenge.
00:15 I've got a 1992 Jeep Wrangler.
00:18 It's set up pretty much custom inside and out, best of everything I could possibly imagine.
00:23 We've routed custom exhaust. The exhaust is actually set up for Florida mud.
00:26 It's been researched. We've designed it. We've routed it up through the fender wells.
00:30 That way we run a three-inch from the front and back.
00:33 The Flowmaster mufflers are top-notch. We ended up with a little extra horsepower from it.
00:38 We ended up with a better sound.
00:40 We've actually gone through a couple different routes and different designs, have cut them out over the past month.
00:45 Spent a lot of money and research in it. We found the best way to do it.
00:48 What we've done, we've actually came off the headers with a three-inch collector, brought it back nice, high and tight.
00:53 We wanted to keep it for ground clearance for all of our rock crawling, so we ran the duals way up past the transfer case.
00:59 Brought them back, still three-inch, all the way out to the back.
01:03 Custom routed them through right at the wheel wells.
01:05 That way in the mud and water, we're totally out of it and our heat doesn't get into the tires whenever we do our full flex.
