00:00 The 2008 Dodge Dakota Extended Cab features the cool new chiseled front end of the Nitro
00:11 as well as the brawn and guts of a powerful V8.
00:14 The new Dakota's exterior includes a newly styled hood, grill, front fascia, rear spoiler,
00:20 fenders and headlamps.
00:21 The front end has been designed to improve aerodynamics and features better fit and gap
00:25 management.
00:26 The hood surface was designed to signify power and further amplify the signature Dodge drop
00:31 fender look.
00:32 The extended cab features full swing rear access doors that open nearly 170 degrees
00:37 to reveal class leading room and seating for five.
00:40 The available 4.7 liter V8 produces 290 horsepower and 320 pound feet of torque.
00:47 That's a 25% increase in horsepower and a 10% increase in torque over the previous model's
00:52 equivalent.
00:53 The new V8 also offers better fuel economy and lower emissions via exhaust gas recirculation.
00:58 It can also run off E85 ethanol making the Dakota a flex fuel vehicle.
