00:08 >> It's Moby Dick, man.
00:09 You're not going to get Moby Dick.
00:12 >> We're here to shoot the Baja 1000.
00:14 >> We're doing a little scout right now,
00:16 trying to set camera positions around this entire Mexican globe.
00:21 >> It all takes place in less than 24 hours, so we'll have a crew of about 70 spread out over that thousand miles.
00:29 >> Right now we're down here trying to figure out what locations appeal to us, you know, aesthetically,
00:34 what locations are possible logistically that we can get our crews in and out,
00:39 what we're going to have to cover with helicopter because there's just simply no way to get a ground crew in there.
00:44 >> And coordinate all that and make sense of it all.
00:49 >> A thousand miles in Baja, Mexico is actually completely perplexed me as a producer to try and situate 18 crews around here.
00:58 >> The most difficult thing for me is going to be when we get back from the scout is trying to figure out what everybody's assignments are
01:04 and how we get the most production value out of each team because we don't want people landlocked
01:09 or spending all their time on the highway when they could be grabbing more race footage or getting, you know, different assignments.
01:15 >> You're like a Marine colonel going to war.
01:18 >> Yeah, yeah.
01:19 We had good guys, too.
01:21 We met -- a lot of it was pre-planning, Kevin Ward, his crew, and we'd meet and talk and talk and talk
01:26 because we knew once it started, you're on your own.
