00:00 Cadillac's CTS-V. This is the sedan that in a recent Motor Trend comparison test spanked
00:14 BMW's illustrious M5. In addition to its Nurburgring-tuned suspension, the CTS-V sports a 6.2 liter supercharged
00:23 V8 making 556 horsepower running through the rear wheels to an automatic transmission.
00:30 This is going to be one of the fastest sedans you'll ever see at a racetrack. Let's check
00:34 it out at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

02:33 Randy, you just had a chance to drive the super Cadillac CTS-V with 556 supercharged horsepower.
02:45 What did you think? That's a driver's car. I really enjoyed that art. It's the kind of car that you can drive with a little power oversteer, which is something I like.
02:54 I noticed you're doing that. Yeah, in fact, keep this quiet. I like it better than the Corvette in terms of handling. The CTS-V is well balanced, minimal understeer.
03:04 It's pretty easy to knock it loose with the throttle, but that's just because it's so powerful. So I had to slow my throttle foot down, feed that in, roll it in.
03:14 And that worked really, really well. It has a lot of braking power. They did get warm and started getting smelly, but again, I think that's because they're new.
03:22 I bet if I went back out again, it probably wouldn't do that. The pedals stayed up. It stopped really well. The car turns in really well, but in a predictable fashion.
03:31 It's not a soft car. It's controlled. Not harsh, but controlled. I'm really very pleased with the Cadillac. It made a lot of good noises. Good low rumbling, macho, manliam, God bless American noises.
