The new Turbo 100 gasoline engine is a 3-cylinder unit with a displacement of 1,199 cc, delivering a maximum output of 101 hp (74 kW) at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 205 Nm from 1,750 rpm. Combined with a 6-speed manual transmission, it provides a traditional driving experience.
The new variable geometry turbocharger optimizes the engine's responsiveness at lower engine speeds, making driving in city traffic and overtaking maneuvers easier and ensuring driving pleasure in all conditions.
Optimized Efficiency
Fuel consumption and emissions control are ensured by a new high-pressure direct injection system (350 bar), new piston heads, a new valve timing system that reduces internal friction, and the Miller cycle with a high compression ratio to improve thermal efficiency.
Improved Reliability
The Turbo 100 gasoline engine features a timing chain, ensuring a long service life. The new engine block, pistons, and piston rings are designed for overall robustness and controlled oil consumption.
During its development, the engine underwent rigorous endurance testing under extreme conditions, with more than 30,000 hours on test benches simulating all driving scenarios.
Reduced Maintenance
Models equipped with the new Turbo 100 gasoline engine benefit from an optimized maintenance schedule, requiring a single service every two years/25,000 km (previously every year/every 20,000 km) and an annual interim inspection.
