Acura is ready to take on the Lexus IS

00:00 Okay, we're back at the 2009 Chicago Auto Show, this time in the Acura booth with their

00:10 latest announcement, the 2010 Acura TSX V6.

00:13 Now when you take a look at the car, you notice that not a lot has changed.

00:17 That's because the biggest difference is under hood.

00:19 This is a new model for Acura that carries a 3.5 liter V6 that makes 280 horsepower.

00:25 Now this is a 79 horsepower improvement over the four cylinder version, but you'd be hard

00:29 pressed to tell the difference.

00:30 The only indicator is at the back corner, a little chrome V6 logo.

00:34 Other changes, the car now has upsized wheels, the car now rides on 18 inch wheels and tires.

00:39 It also has slightly larger brakes and a revised suspension to handle the increased weight

00:43 up front.

00:44 Now, Acura claims that this car will now better compete with vehicles like the Lexus IS, the

00:49 BMW 3 Series, and the Audi A4, which is a very bold statement given that the TSX is

00:53 still front wheel drive.
