Cruise's Autonomous Van Production Paused as Investigations into October Accident Begin

GM is temporarily halting production of Cruise's autonomous Origin van days after Cruise paused all driverless operations. According to Cruise CEO Kyle Vogt, Cruise has already produced hundreds of Origin vehicles, which will be enough in the near term when operations are ready to ramp up again. Cruise's board has hired law firms to review Cruise management’s responses to regulators investigating an October accident involving a Cruise vehicle, as well as to review Cruise's technology.
